What Parimatch Actually Is
Parimatch is a long-established sportsbook, founded in the early 1990s in Eastern Europe, with a Curacao gaming licence and a separate UK entity holding a UK licence.
Three decades of public operation is the relevant fact. It is one of the more recognisable names in the industry, it has survived multiple regulatory shifts, and it is a listed business rather than an anonymous operation. That does not make it the best option for every player, but it removes a category of risk that dominates unlicensed competitors.
Our how we rate bookmakers explains the testing method behind our scoring, and the licences guide covers how to verify independently.
The Scorecard
Our standard scoring, with the reasoning rather than just the number.
| Area | Score | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Odds quality | 8.5/10 | Sharp on majors, standard elsewhere |
| Market depth | 9/10 | Unusually deep, especially cricket |
| Live betting | 8.5/10 | Fast price updates, strong markets |
| Mobile app | 8/10 | Stable and quick, in-play works |
| Payments | 8/10 | Cards and e-wallets, name-match enforced |
| Bonus value | 7/10 | Generous headline, standard turnover |
| Support | 7.5/10 | Reasonable, not exceptional |
Odds Quality and Margin
Parimatch is among the sharper mainstream books on the big five football leagues, and standard rather than sharp on the rest.
The difference is measurable. On a major Premier League match, Parimatch will often be at or near the best available price on the 1X2, which on a two-way market is a margin in the region of 3.5 to 4.5 percent. On a second-tier league or a smaller market, the margin rises to 5 or 6 percent, and on exotic props it is wider again.
That is the normal shape for a large sportsbook and it is worth checking rather than assuming. Our the margin guide covers how to measure it yourself, and the value guide covers turning a thin margin into a genuine edge.
Market Depth Is the Standout Feature
Where Parimatch distinguishes itself is the number of markets available, which is genuinely above average.
Cricket is the clearest case, with pre-match and in-play markets extending well past the standard match winner, totals and handicaps to include player props, session markets and method-of-dismissal bets. Football is similarly deep on the major competitions. The practical benefit is not just choice, it is more lines to shop across, and a line you do not take is a line that cannot cost you anything.
Our cricket markets guide and corner and card markets cover where the extra lines are worth taking. Our best betting sites guide covers the alternatives.
In-Play and the App
In-play is the test most apps fail, and Parimatch passes it comfortably.
Price updates are quick, the bet slip does not stutter under the load of a busy in-play market, and the cash-out function is responsive. The app is not the most beautiful one available, which is a strange thing to write in a review where the rest is positive, but it is stable and fast, and those matter more than appearance for anyone betting live.
Our the live betting guide covers what to do in-play, and the risk guide covers the discipline side.
Payments and Withdrawals
The payment setup is conventional and works, with one rule that catches people out regularly.
Cards, e-wallets and bank transfers are all supported, and card withdrawals to a registered card are typically the fastest route. The rule is that you withdraw to a payment method in your own name, and a mismatch is the most common rejection reason at most operators. Verification is required before a first withdrawal, so completing it at registration saves days later.
Our the payment methods guide covers the comparison, and the withdrawals guide covers timing. For funding, our payment methods guide covers what is available in each market.
The Bonus, Honestly Assessed
Welcome offers are generous on paper and ordinary in practice, which is what the category always does.
A typical offer is a matched deposit or free bet with turnover in the region of 30 to 40x. Applying a 35x requirement to a 100 percent match means turning over 35 times the bonus at a return around 96 percent, which returns roughly three-quarters of the bonus value in expectation before any cash-out limit applies. That is a poor return by design, and the same is true of every welcome offer in the industry.
The correct response is not to skip bonuses, it is to take them only when you were going to deposit anyway, in which case they are a genuine discount. Our the bonuses guide and the wagering guide cover the arithmetic properly.
The Weakest Parts
An honest review names them, and there are two areas where Parimatch is average rather than good.
Support is competent but unremarkable. Response times are reasonable and answers are usually correct, but this is not a support operation that will go out of its way to resolve a disputed payment. Smaller league coverage is thin. Beyond the big five football leagues and the major cricket competitions, the market list shrinks quickly, and prices on second-tier and obscure markets are not competitive. If your betting is on lower-profile leagues, this is not the operator for you and no amount of depth elsewhere compensates.
Our the lower league guide covers that problem directly.
Our Verdict
A strong option for specific bettors, and a good default for others.
- Choose it for cricket, the market depth there is a genuine advantage
- Choose it for market variety, very few books offer this many lines
- Shop the price anyway, sharp on majors does not mean best on every match
- Verify before you want to withdraw, the same as anywhere
- Take the bonus only if depositing anyway, the turnover is real
- Avoid it for lower-league football, coverage thins quickly
How We Tested
A review is only worth reading if you know what was actually done, so this is the method rather than the conclusion.
Registration and identity verification were completed on a fresh account, because the onboarding flow is where problems appear and it is invisible to existing customers. Deposits were made through more than one method and a withdrawal was completed end to end, since a review that only tests the deposit path is testing half the product. Odds were recorded across a sample of major and minor football matches plus cricket and a few secondary sports, and compared against other operators on the same fixtures. The mobile app was used for live betting, because that is where an app either works or does not.
Nothing in this review is based on the operator's marketing. Where a claim could not be verified independently, it is not repeated. Our how we rate bookmakers sets out the full method and how to choose covers the practical version.
How Parimatch Compares to the Alternatives
An operator is only ever good relative to the others available, and on the two things most players care about the picture is specific.
On cricket depth, Parimatch is among the strongest mainstream options, with market coverage on major tournaments that most of the field does not match. On football price it is competitive but not the sharpest, and on some matches another book will be a point better. On lower-league football it is weaker than specialist books. On app performance in-play it is comfortably above average.
